  • We have an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of finance activities from month end close process to identifying gaps and improving processes. You will be exposed to the various business units of Sedgwick New Zealand.

What are my accountabilities?

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for all loss funds
  • Responsible for fixed assets and lease accounting for Australia and New Zealand entities
  • Review invoices for motor vehicle expenses and liaise with fleet management companies
  • Assist month end close process – journals, accruals, P&L review, GL reconciliations

About you

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant
  • Accounting degree / equivalent or working towards completion
  • Preferable experience in SAP and Xero accounting system
